Aidan loves his cousin Kyle. After eating breakfast together Sunday morning, Aidan decided to show his bud how to play the piano.

Saturday, Aidan and Grandma P went to the Parents as Teachers Spring Concert, and saw Dino O'Dell and Funky Mama perform. Aidan loved the music and showed off his dance moves:

Aidan's been working on this whole using utensils thing...and normally he takes 5 or 6 bites then hands the fork or spoon over to us because he gets tired of doing it himself. Today was great though - he ate almost the whole bowl of oatmeal by himself! Yay for big boys!

Today Aidan came to work with me for a bit while Daddy went to a training session. Who needs Toy Story...the Hart girls were pure entertainment!

Aidan loves putting on Mommy's watch. Sometimes he reminds us of a raccoon, taking something shiny and running away really fast to study it and keep it to himself!

Watching Daddy shovel a foot of snow off the driveway. At the end of March. Two days after it was 60 degrees outside. What?

KU lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament tonight. Aidan started studying his KU storybook, in hopes he could offer some new plays for next season.

Holy 2010 Batman, Aidan's 21 months old!



Right now, Aidan:
-wears size 4 diapers, size 6 shoes, 24-month and 2T shirts,and 18 and 24-month pants
-sleeps from 8pm to between 7 and 8am; takes a nap from noon until between 2 and 3pm
-goes to Parents' Day Out on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-2:30pm
-goes to Kindermusik on Thursdays with Daddy
-goes to MyGym on Tuesdays with Mommy
-has developed a stronger appreciation for music this month, showing us all kinds of ways to dance to the beat
-still loves the American flag and surprises us when he finds the tiniest flags and immediately puts his hand on his heart
-will eat most anything we put in front of him, but has recently started refusing mandarin oranges and mashed potatoes
-takes us by the hand to lead us where he wants to go
-has around 60 words...I keep forgetting to count. New ones include "down" and "no hit"
-is putting together several words at a time, like "Bye-bye Mommy" and "up please"
-can say all of the words he signs, and usually says the word while signing
-is testing our patience by hitting when he doesn't get his way
-is spending a fair amount of time in time out after hitting
-loves going outside and is definitely ready for spring
-recently discovered Toy Story and loves Woody the Cowboy
-can match colors, identify several shapes (stars and hearts are his favorite), stack blocks, string beads, and put shape blocks through the correct holes
-has the funniest laugh, cutest smile, and sweetest kisses ever!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Aidan had a busy day today. We started out with green eggs for breakfast.

Then we went to Crown Center's Fairy Tale Village

with our friend Sophie.

We ended our day with dinner with the Bergmans and their new baby Avery. She is soo tiny and absolutely beautiful!!

(Notice the mouth full of French fries. Nice!)

The house across the street from us is being rehabbed, and Aidan is always very excited for the trash man to come by with the really big dumpster. It's a guaranteed 15 minutes of entertainment!

Recently, Aidan has started asking to be covered up in his "baa baa" blanket before he goes to sleep. This warms my heart - not only does he look adorable, but this blanket took me FOR FREAKING EVER to knit and I'm glad he appreciates it!!

Aidan is proudly modeling the headband he made at school today.
Another (dubious) milestone: our first call home from school to report an injury! Some bully kid knocked him over in a tunnel on the playground and he got a big bump on his head. Do I add that to the baby book??? :)

Mother Nature teased us today with a hint of spring. We jumped at the chance to visit our favorite park after school.

We started on the swings,


he loved "flying" the helicopter,


and last, he took a quick spin around the basketball and tennis courts.
