Daily Aidan
Aidan participated in the Olympics at school today. He won a gold medal (I'm sure everyone did) and proceeded to have a seat on the award podium instead of standing. He loves looking at his medal, especially since it has an American flag on it!

Daily Aidan
Today, Aidan participated in his first Trolley Run. He had to get up EARLY, so he arrived decked out in his Buzz Lightyear jammies. Look at the sweet faces on Aidan and Sophie:

Daily Aidan
Aidan loves Thursdays, when I teach piano from home. He especially loves the hour he gets to spend with my students Alex and Ben. It's so funny to watch boys of all ages relate to one another!

Tonight, Aidan and Daddy went to a MoDOT event in Lee's Summit that showcased lots of big trucks and cars. Here's a picture of Aidan, so in awe of a fire truck that he is ignoring the sweet robot right next to him.

Monthly Aidan
Aidan is 22 months old!
At one year and 10 months, Aidan:
-still eats everything we put in front of him. So far, the only things he's refusing are mandarin oranges and mashed potatoes
-is a busy boy, always on the run
-loves being outside and begs for wagon rides and basketball games
-wears 24 month and 2T clothes; size 4 diapers; size 6 shoes
-has definite opinions about things and isn't afraid to share them
-still has some problems with hitting - luckily it's only Mom & Dad, but we're working on it
-sleeps 8pm until between 7am and 8am; naps once per day for 1.5-3 hours
-has discovered television. Loves Toy Story, Elmo's World, and Super Why
-talks all day long. We can understand more of it every day
-is graduating from Kindermusik Village and is looking forward to Our Time this summer
-protests diaper and clothing changes - a point of frustration for Mom & Dad
-is getting braver at gymnastics and the playground, but still likes to have a grown-up with him
-has become more generous with hugs and kisses, especially at bedtime
-is the light of our lives:)

The Easter Egg was SO cool...they painted with evaporated milk and food coloring. You can't tell by the picture, but it dried to a shiny finish. He is so proud of it!

Today Aidan went to an Easter Egg Hunt with Grandma Janine.
He doesn't appear too excited to meet the Easter Bunny...
Later, he tested out a police motorcycle...
...and rode in a fire truck!
He ended his fun day by going on a date with Sophie. He tried to go in for a kiss several times, but Sophie politely declined. Maybe on their third date!
