What a pitiful face. He's not feeling well. Could be a cold, could be teething...time will tell. He just wants to be held, which I'm not complaining about. I just want him to feel better:)

Daily Aidan
Tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse with Grammy & Granddaddy Ludwig for Aaron's birthday. They brought out a saddle for Aaron to ride on and Aidan took the opportunity to climb on with his daddy. All was well until the whole restaurant shouted "Yee-haw!"...it scared Aidan and he started screaming! It was definitely reminiscent of my trips as a baby to Casa Bonita. I hated the guitar player and would scream anytime I saw him!

Monthly Aidan
At eight months, Aidan:
-sits up all the time and can correct himself if he starts to fall
-can stand up without mom's help if he's holding onto something
-could care less about crawling or rolling
-sleeps about eleven hours each night, plus a 2-hour nap in the morning and a few 30-minute cat naps throughout the day
-recognizes the sign language for milk, more, all done, light, and where
-loves to splash in the tub
-goes to Mom's Diner four times a day and has two solid food meals each day
-is learning to feed himself
-can click his tongue and blow raspberries
-thinks his dad is the funniest guy on the planet
-is almost too big for his car seat
-laughs at people he knows but is pretty serious around strangers
-believes that water bottles may be the "funnest" toy ever
-probably needs a haircut
-won't.stop.growing.

For those of you who don't know my friend Missy, let me take a moment to tell you a little bit about her. She is a wonderful mom to sweet Sophie, and every day I learn something new about mommyhood from her. She is also one of my knitting girls. I use the term "knitting" loosely, because mostly she watches the rest of us knit. That's why the sweater Aidan is wearing in this picture is so special...it is a one-of-a-kind Missy creation. An actual FINISHED project:) Aidan and I are honored to have received this gift, and even more honored to call her our friend. We love you, Missy!
Valentine Party
Today was Aidan's Valentine Party at Kindermusik. He loved seeing all of his friends, opening his Valentine bag, and finding fun stuff to play with! I think his favorite part was the bag that everything came in:)

TOnight, we went to Aidan's first basketball game - his cousin Kyle was playing. He LOVED it - didn't make a peep the whole time - just watched back and forth, back and forth!

Today we took advantage of the almost 70 degree weather and played outside. We had a great time! Aidan loved watching cars go by, rolling the ball, and looking at the birds.

Mr. Handsome - thanks Melissa & Brent for this darling outfit! I can't believe he's already big enough to wear it!
First time with "poofs" - it kept him busy for a long time. He is getting really good with the pincer (thumb + forefinger) grip and was a natural at feeding himself!
